This product is intended for children or pets.

• Recommended Age:  0-24 Months
• Inspect original package for evidence of damage in shipping, do not use if damaged or missing parts
• Dispose of packaging properly.  Do not allow children to play with plastic bag as it may cause suffocation
• Never use with a child or pet able to climb over or dislodge the gate or enclosure. 
• Never leave child unattended.
• To prevent serious injury or death, securely install gate or enclosure and use according to manufacturer instructions.
• Install with locking mechanism on side away from child or pet.
• Use only with the locking/latching mechanism securely engaged.
• Over-tighten gate to reduce chance of child or pet lifting carrier bar free
• Always tighten gate to reduce chance of child squeezing underneath
• This gate is approved for top of stairs use. If the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs to prevent the child from falling down the stairs it must not be placed on any stair below the level of the top stair.
  
•  If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs to prevent the child from climbing the stairs, it must be place on the lowest stair.  Once fitted in place, the barrier should be checked to ensure that it is properly fixed and secure.
• Always mount gate with bottom edge at floor level to reduce possibility of a child or pet squeezing underneath.
• Make certain ratchet is engaged for final tightening.
• Gate is approved for top of stairs use, however, all gates are safer if used at bottom of stairwell.
• Gate must not be modified or used other than as directed.
• Screws for wall brackets should always be inserted into the studs in the wall. (See Installation Limitations)
• Do not allow children or pets to hang-on or climb over gate.
